Rihanna breaks silence after being branded 'lazy' as fans slam 'boring' India performance
Rihanna was paid a whopping £4.9 million to perform at the pre-wedding celebrations of Indian billionaire Anant Ambani and his bride - but fans were left disappointed.
Rihanna has been criticised for her performance at an uber-wealthy wedding, despite reportedly being paid a whopping £4.9 million.
The pop singer has since broken her silence on the claims, posing in an array of underwear to promote her latest Fenty lingerie line on Instagram.
After hearing about the steep payday for her performance on Friday night, fans had high hopes for the 36-year-old superstar.
She was hired by Anant Ambani - the son of Asia's richest man, Mukesh Ambani - to perform at his lavish three-day pre-wedding parties.
Despite all the hype and the massive price tag, Rihanna's show was labelled as "lacklustre" and a "boring" gig by unimpressed spectators.

It is worth noting that this event marked her return to performing after a year-long break following her contentious 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show.
In video clips circulating online from this extravagant party, Rihanna can be seen fully dressed up in a beautiful sheer green dress while singing crowd favourites like All Of The Lights, B**** Better Have My Money, and Work.
However, according to some viewers on social media, the star did not quite deliver the performance she should have, given her superstar status.

She doesn't perform much these days but keeps busy with her makeup brand Fenty and lingerie line Savage X Fenty.
Plus, she's looking after her two little boys with A$AP Rocky.
It's been a long wait since Rihanna's last album, Anti, came out in 2016.
Fans are super excited for new songs, especially after she told Vogue in February 2023 that it would be silly if her ninth album didn't come out this year.
But sadly, there's still no sign of any new tunes from Rihanna.
