Wetherspoon pubgoer criticises 'bizarre' new menu prices after latest cost hike
Some Wetherspoon customers have noticed recent price increases have left some odd prices on the menu.
Wetherspoon is known for being an affordable option for a drink or bite to eat. However, one pubgoer was left confused by the changes to the menu.
Prices in Wetherspoon vary based on the location but they aim to stay competitive for the area.
The chain recently announced prices had risen but value was still the goal.
“Wetherspoon has increased prices on food and drink by 7.5 percent," a spokesperson stated.
“We believe that our prices are still very competitive in all the locations that we trade."

But it was not just the price increases that confused one diner.
They were surprised by the seemingly odd prices that were a result of the hike.
One woman took to social media to explain her confusion. She did not name the branch but explained she and her group had stopped by Wetherspoon on the way home from Glasgow.
Originally going for just drinks, the pubgoers got hungry and took a look at the menu.

They were surprised to find the odd prices on offer. She suggested prices were much cheaper, and seemingly more normal, the last time she had visited.
Social media user @brodie_bites_ said: "[It's] 4.03 for soup, £5.54 for nachos - like what? £5.27 for a panini and a drink - what is actually going on?
"It continues throughout the whole menu, such bizarre pricing and even the side dishes, it's 81p for a side of chilli and £4.03 for chips... I just don't understand it."
Other prices on the menu included chicken breast bites at £5.81, halloumi-style fries at £4.73 and roasted vegetables at £5.97.
Most might expect prices on a menu to end in a round number.
While the new listings may seem odd to some pubgoers, it is a result of the 7.5 percent increase.
Prices were raised by that exact amount, which has led to some unusual final prices.
The increases affected the price of food and drink in Wetherspoon locations across the UK and Ireland.
