Enfield: Man killed and boy, 16, rushed to hospital after horror London double stabbing

Police were called to a property in Enfield, north London, in the early hours of this morning to reports of a double stabbing.

A man was killed in a horror midnight double stabbing that also left a 16-year-old boy in hospital.

Police said they were called to a property in Enfield, north London at around 12.30am this morning. Both the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service were in attendance, but despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's family has been informed.

Another victim, a 16-year-old boy, was treated for stab wounds but his condition is not thought to be serious, according to the police. Officers arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of murder and of causing grievous bodily harm.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee from the Met's Specialist Crime Command leads the investigation and said: "I understand the shock that an incident like this will cause the local community and I want to thank them for the patience while we have carried out our work at the scene.

"All of those involved were known to each other, an arrest has been made and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

"Residents will continue to see both specialist and local officers in and around the location in the coming days; if you have any concerns or information that you think could assist then please speak to them, contact your local policing team or call 101."
