The Apprentice has not seen a sole male winner for almost a decade, with Lord Alan Sugar crowning Marnie Swindells as his latest business partner.

The Apprentice, You're Fired host Tom Allen has spoken out about female candidates' success on the BBC One business programme. The last male winner was Joseph Valente who received Lord Alan Sugar's £250,000 investment back in 2015. Tom has shared how the women being so "focused" is an attributing factor to their triumph.
Marnie won the 17th series of The Apprentice in March following a tense final against Rochelle Anthony.
The 28-year-old winner is putting Lord Sugar's investment into her boxing gym, called Bronx, which is currently based in South London.
Runner-up Rochelle hoped to expand her hair salon business into London's Belgravia district.
Comedian Tom interviewed the women following the final for The Apprentice, You're Fired to reflect on their time in the process.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk at the Royal Television Society Awards last week, Tom was asked why no male candidates made it into this year's top five.
"I don't know [what it is about men on The Apprentice], I meet them on the You're Fired show and they are always very sweet and very endearing," he explained.
"But I feel like in reference to this year we had very focused female candidates and they were better working as a team."
He highlighted how one of the male candidates, Bradley Johnson, got fired on the spot after his team's product stained people's skin green.
"It's hard to come back from that, isn't it?" Tom quipped. "That was a really iconic moment."
He gushed about the female candidates, describing this year's winner as "fantastic".
Tom also said Rochelle was a worthy finalist and suggested Lord Sugar was "clearly torn between the two".
Last year's winner was Harpreet Kaur who impressed Lord Sugar with her no-nonsense attitude throughout her time in the competition.

Carina Lepore was the show's previous winner before the coronavirus pandemic halted filming, and she launched a bakery with Lord Sugar.
Sian Gabbidon was crowned the champion in 2018 and Sarah Lynn and James White were the show's first-ever joint winners the previous year.
Alana Spencer took home the £250,000 investment in 2016 which she put towards her luxury cake business.
Joseph was the last male to single-handedly win The Apprentice back in 2015.
He was just 25 years old when he won the BBC competition and spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk earlier this year about the process.
He shared: "It was amazing to be around such high-performance people as Karren Brady is on top of her game and an incredible businesswoman who takes herself very seriously.
"You get a sense of awe when you are around those guys and they are not here to mess around, they are here to do business and that is what I really liked."
