A gorgeous city has been crowned one of Britain's most walkable staycation destinations.
Love exploring a city on foot? Luckily, the expert team at Preply have rounded up some of the UK’s most walkable destinations.
While Oxford was named the UK’s most walkable destination, a pretty city in the west of the country landed just outside the top three.
Bristol was named one of Britain’s most walkable staycation destinations, with just over an hour needed to walk between its main attractions.
Each of the city’s five top attractions are under four miles from each other, making it simple to explore on foot.
The Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of Bristol’s most iconic attractions and although it’s a little further outside the city centre, it’s still reachable on foot.

A tourist ‘kavita’ wrote on Tripadvisor: “Such a beautiful spot. Would definitely recommend it if you like sightseeing.”
‘Jehinch’ wrote: “A walk across this historic bridge is a must if visiting Bristol. The views are stunning and the bridge is very near to Clifton village.”
Brunel’s SS Great Britain is the city’s top attraction and it makes a fantastic day out for kids with plenty of interactive exhibitions.

The SS Great Britain is based around the city’s port area and tourists will have an easy walk to other top city attractions including M Shed and Spike Island.
